Mitsui Fudosan Taiwan Hotel Management Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company") collects, processes, and uses your personal data for the following specific purposes. As per Article 8, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Data Protection Act (hereinafter referred to as the “PDPA”) and Article 16 of the Enforcement Rules of the PDPA, the Company hereby informs you of the following matters. However, if you choose not to provide the necessary personal data, the Company will not be able to carry out the necessary verification and other related procedures. 1 Purpose of Collection

    • To provide products and services related to the business of this Company or its Group companies:
      • Hotel management and administration (for example, guidance on hotel facility planning and construction planning; gathering, processing and analyzing information related to hotel management; management and administration of restaurants and bars; real estate transactions, lease and management; response to emergency safety incident)
      • Provide hotel accommodation relevant services or sales of products to hotel guests and MGH Rewards Club Members (for example, providing tourism information and assisting hotel accommodation for tourists, sale of souvenirs, food, wine, daily necessities, furniture and appliances, household items, newspapers and magazines, or acting as agents for such sales; member points redemption)
      • Provide services for MGH Rewards Club Members (for example, managing member information within member organizations)
    • To introduce products and services related to clothing, food, housing and transportation to customers that the Company or its Group companies have had previous dealings with, and to provide various information and benefits, for example:
      • Information about various seminars, promotional events, and large-scale activities
      • To deliver behavioral targeted advertising (an advertising method that legally analyzes information such as acquired web browsing history and service usage history to estimate customer attributes and interests, and adjust the content of advertisements)
      • To provide discounts or other benefits when using vouchers and services.
    • To develop and improve products and services operated by the Company and its Group companies in relation to clothing, food, housing, and transportation of customers, for example:
      • development and improvement of products and services
      • conducting questionnaires
      • customer trend analysis
      • verifying the effectiveness of sales promotion activities and formulating sales promotion plans.

2 Categories of Personal Data Collected

This company may obtain your personal information from you, the Group companies, business partners of this Company, or other third parties, including (part or all of) the following and any other personal information that can directly or indirectly identify you:

  • (1)Identifying Individuals. For example, name, home telephone number, cell phone number, postal and resident address, photograph, email address, specific standard information to access this website, mobile application (APP), or social media (E.g. IP address, Cookie ID and its contents, unique identifier, domain name, device information, usage time, browser type, language settings, geographic location, operating system, server logs, web search/browse/click records and usage patterns or similar data derived from the analysis and summarization of the above data obtained by cooperating vendors in their name), and any other data that can be used to identify the data subject.
  • (2)Identifying Financial Information. For example, financial institution account numbers and names, credit card or debit card numbers, insurance policy numbers, and any other personal numbers or accounts.
  • (3)Identifying Government Information. For example, personal ID card number, certificate identity number, tax registration number, insurance certificate number, disability manual number, retirement certificate number, and passport number.

  • (6)Recreational Activities and Interests. For example, hobbies, sports and other interests.
  • (7)Lifestyle. For example, types of consumer goods and details of services used, and personal or family consumption patterns.
  • (8)Your arrival and departure dates.
  • (9)Your feedback or inquiries after using hotel facilities.

3 Duration, region, subject, and methods of use of personal data

  • (1)Duration: duration for the specific purposes of collection of personal data, retention period specified in relevant laws and regulations or contracts, or retention period required by the Company for the performance of duties or business operations (whichever is longer).
  • (2)Subject: the Company, the Group companies, business partners or subcontractors of this Company or the Group companies.
  • (3)Region: the location of the intended subjects of the use of personal data mentioned above , and such location is not in an area where international transfer is prohibited by the competent authority.
  • (4)Method: In compliance with relevant personal data protection laws, through automated machinery or other non-automated methods of use.

The Company and its Group companies will collect, process, or use cookies and visitor records within the scope of the purposes of collection set forth in the aforementioned Cookie and Visitor Record Terms of Use.

5 Provision to Third Parties

  • (1)For the purpose of collection, the Company may provide your personal data to the Group companies, or third parties such as business partners or contractors of the Company or its Group companies, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations including the Personal Data Protection Act. For information regarding the members of the Group companies, please refer to: https://www.mitsuifudosan.co.jp/english/corporate/group_list/。If the region where the third party is located is an area where international transfer is prohibited by the competent authority, the company must handle it in accordance with the law.
  • (2)In the event that a third party identifies the name of a guest staying at the hotel and requests to be connected via phone call or in person visit, the Company will accommodate and respond to the request only when the name and room number match. After receiving the request, the Company will first contact you to obtain your consent before transferring the call or informing the third party of your stay at our hotel.
  • (3)If there are accompanying travelers other than the hotel guest who applies to accommodation are processing check-in procedures first, the Company may request the third party to provide the hotel guest's address, telephone number, and other necessary information deemed by our company. After confirming the accuracy of information, we will proceed with the relevant arrangements. If you do not wish to provide this information, please inform the Company before the accompanying traveler arrives.

6 Appropriate security measures

  • (1)In order to protect personal data from theft, tampering, damage, loss, or leakage, the Company will implement appropriate security measures in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and relevant laws.
  • (2)The Company has appointed personnel to plan, establish, revise, and execute security maintenance plans related to personal data security measures, as well as other related matters. These personnel are obligated to submit written reports on the implementation of the aforementioned tasks regularly (at least once a year) to the Company's representative or authorized personnel.
  • (3)The Company has established mechanisms for preventing, reporting, and responding to incidents related to the theft, tampering, damage, loss, or leakage of personal data.
  • (4)The Company has implemented a management mechanism based on operational needs, setting different permission levels for personnel to control their access to personal data. The contents of these permissions are reviewed regularly to ensure their necessity and appropriateness.

7 Consultation and inquiry on personal data

According to Article 3 and Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to exercise various rights concerning your personal data held by the Company as stipulated in the following Article. 8 Rights and procedures that data subjects may exercise

  • (1)Except for the exceptions specified in Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may inquire, request access, or request copies from the Company. However, the Company may charge necessary costs in accordance with Article 14 of the Personal Data Protection Act.
  • (2)You may request the Company to supplement or correct your personal data. However, according to Article 19 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Data Protection Act, you are required to provide an adequate explanation of reasons and facts.
  • (3)If the Company violates the regulations of the Personal Data Protection Act when collecting, processing, or using your personal data, according to Paragraph 4, Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may request the Company to cease the collection of personal data.
  • (4)According to Paragraph 2, Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Act, in the event of a dispute regarding the accuracy of personal data, you may request the Company to cease processing or using, or to limit the processing of your personal data. However, this does not apply to cases when it is necessary for the performance of the Company’s business operations and the dispute has been indicated, or with your written consent.
  • (5)According to Paragraph 3, Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Act, when the specific purpose of data collection no longer exists, or upon expiration of the relevant period, you may request our company to delete, cease processing or using, or restrict the processing of your personal data. However, according to the proviso of the above clause, the Company is not subject to this limitation when it is necessary for business operations or with your written consent.

9 Amendment to this Notification

In order to effectively protect your personal data, the Company may revise this Notification based on technological trends, regulatory amendments, or other changes. Any revisions to these terms will be promptly posted on the Site by the Company.
