A Truly Memorable Hotel

Our history

Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management is a team of professionals who all share the same philosophy of offering people “a truly memorable hotel.” Starting with the opening of our first location in 1984, we have built up a group of more than 40 hotels (approx. 10,000 guest rooms) that spans from Hokkaido in the north to Taipei in the south and serves millions of guests each year. Over our 40 years of history, the needs of our guests have become increasingly diverse. More and more people have come to see hotels as not only places to stay during business and leisure travel, but also places for celebrating anniversaries and other milestone events. In addition, the growing globalization of the tourism industry has rapidly expanded the influx of international guests, prompting the need to offer new forms of hospitality as well. We will continue striving to anticipate our guests’ needs as they evolve with the times and to provide new value to the hotel experience.

Tangible and intangible resources: Two wheels on the same axle

In order to realize our ideal of a truly memorable hotel, we must successfully balance and grow both our tangible and intangible resources. We have made tremendous progress over the past ten years in developing tangibles such as property location and caliber of quality. At the same time, we have acquired a rising reputation for our intangibles, including hospitality and dining and cleaning services. As one of our top priorities going forward, we will take action to secure and train the talent we need to further strengthen our intangible offerings.

Our aspiration: Putting everything into that one lasting moment

We seek to provide hospitality that stirs the hearts of our guests. To accomplish this, we must of course grow our tangible resources, but we ourselves also need to grow as people responsible for managing hotels. We encourage every member of our team to find joy and excitement in their day-to-day work and constantly improve themselves through their interactions with guests. This dedication gives us the power to provide service that fills our guests’ hearts with an exhilaration that becomes lasting moments for us as well. Recognizing that hotels function as public institutions within society, we firmly believe that our actions can help bring forth a better future. We will strive to do this with each and every little effort we make.

An ongoing journey of challenging ourselves

We aspire to provide our guests with experiences that remain deeply ingrained in their memory and inspire them to come back for more. However, we cannot succeed in this on our own—we depend on harmonious relationships with community members and on the collaboration of many business partners. We will continue challenging ourselves through honest hard work that enables us to become a truly memorable hotel for a wide range of stakeholders and to remain a company that benefits society.
