Mr. Yoshihiko Osamura

Using a distinct sense of colors, he creates a layer of countless overlapping templated geometrical shapes, which he paints over with a number of colors. Specializing in delicate and detailed expression, he uses handmade pens made from broken mechanical pencils. From sketching, to hemming and finally coloring, his delicate process takes between 8 and 10 months.

Ms. MAMEMI

Using mostly single-colored pencils, she highlights the distinction between thick and thin colors through layering. In recent years, she has shifted toward light-colored works, particularly favoring the color peach. In her hands, the illustrations and photographs that make up her theme transform from a white canvas to a soft, peach-colored world. Her works have been displayed in a number of exhibits in her home in Kyoto, as well as some hospitals within Kyoto City.

Mr. Sadahiro Arita

He draws landscapes, buildings, mascots, and more from a world of his imagination. By layering different shades of colored pencils for the base and final coats, he shows a world of countless overlapping colors. His work was presented at the “Very Special Arts Festival in Kyoto” and has won awards many times.

Group Happy Smile

“Group Happy Smile” is a General Incorporated Association that aims to create an environment (space) that brings smiles to the faces of all who gather together, regardless of whether or not they have disabilities.

Mr. Soichiro Omori

He paint as he pleases, using motifs of "spinning things" in their memory, such as ventilation fans and outdoor units. Sometimes, figures and human figures can be seen in their art.

KOICHI

Since he started painting, they have continued to draw cars, which he loves, and his total number of works with car motifs exceeds 100. In this exhibition, five of his works, including "Working Cars," are selected from among them.

Mr. Yasumasa Sugawara

Exhibited at the Art Brut exhibition in France in 2019. Afterwards, he triumphantly exhibited in Aoyama, Tokyo. His works, meticulously expressed with a single ultra-fine ballpoint pen, have received praise both in Japan and abroad.

Mr. Fumio Otani

Studied Japanese-style painting in earnest after exhibiting their work in an amateur exhibition more than 20 years ago. His style is characterized by motifs of nature such as birds and trees.

Mr. Ismail Kimura
He draws outlines with simple lines, which gives his work a clear finish. The works are popular with many people and are sometimes commercialised as hand towels and stationery.
Mr. Mamoru Sakurai
The artist uses coloured pencils, magic pens and acrylic paints to draw in fine detail. He expresses his view of the world on the entire surface of the frame, including colouring in the framing mat.
Mr. Shinichi Sasaki
Usually draws with a biro or brush. When he does not have the strength to hold a pen, he sometimes paints with paint on his hands or uses familiar tools such as marbles.
Mr. Junya Ohno
He has been an active creator for about 15 years and enjoys drawing circles, squares, and other geometric shapes in pastel-colored crayons.
